The American Latino Heritage Fund has created a grant program to help the National Park Service connect with scholars and Latino communities to uncover and then share the untold stories of America's Latino heritage. This includes:
- Financial support for nominating historic places that celebrate Latino contributions to National Historic Landmark Program or National Register of Historic Places.
- Working with educators and community organizations in highlighting American Latino history and culture in educational curriculums and outreach efforts.
The American Latino Heritage Fund accepts applications from ALL National Park System units, affiliated areas, regional, service and program offices, National Heritage Areas, National Wild and Scenic Rivers, National Historic Landmarks and National Trails. Although applications must be submitted by a National Park Service staff person, successful parks may direct a grant to a partner organization for a collaborative project.
